Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit, search, and use of content on the website. Using any part of the service signals agreement. A visitor who does not agree must stop using it.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated site has no government affiliation. Neither it nor its advertising partners offers a service for credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or other decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It is a Johnson County, Tennessee records reference, not a private-investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is an independent reference service. It does not hold official records, perform official checks, or submit government forms.

Its role is to identify Johnson County record holders, including the Sheriff, Circuit Court Clerk, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and Tennessee Sex Offender Registry, and to provide links to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Visitors must not:

  • Violate federal, Tennessee, or local law
  • Harass, stalk, intimidate, or threaten any person
  • Use content in a credit, employment, housing, or insurance decision
  • Gain unauthorized access to the site's systems
  • Deploy bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools
  • Interfere with performance or another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from the site or a linked tool must not be used to threaten, stalk, harass, intimidate, or discriminate. Tennessee registry data exists for safety awareness. Retaliation, vigilantism, or misuse against a listed person or family may violate criminal or civil law.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We do not create credit, background, or consumer reports and are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. The site and its linked tools may not be used to:

  • Make a hiring or firing decision
  • Evaluate a tenant or housing application
  • Set credit or insurance terms
  • Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or public benefit
  • Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose

A lawful regulated check must come from an authorized official or FCRA-compliant provider.

5. No Legal Advice

General descriptions of Johnson County criminal records are not legal advice and cannot determine how Tennessee law applies to a case, warrant, conviction, or expunction. Consult a licensed Tennessee attorney.

6. No Warranties

The site and all content are supplied "as is." No promise is made that:

  • Information is complete, accurate, or current
  • Service will always be available
  • Pages contain no defects or security weakness
  • A partner's result is accurate or complete

Criminal records change through filings, dismissals, corrections, and expunction. Nothing here is an official statement from a court, sheriff, or Tennessee agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

External courts, agencies, legal resources, advertisers, and search providers control their content, data practices, fees, and availability. Their own terms apply after a link is opened.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise identified, the site's text, graphics, branding, and code belong to Johnson County Criminal History or its content partners. Copying, modification, distribution, or derivative use requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for damages arising from use of the website, reliance on its content, or use of a linked service.

10. Indemnification

A visitor agrees to defend and hold us harmless from claims, demands, proceedings, fees, and costs resulting from that visitor's use or breach of these terms.

11. Governing Law

Tennessee law governs these conditions. Any dispute related to website use must be brought in a court located in Tennessee.

12. Changes to These Terms

Revised terms may be posted at any time and take effect when they appear on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is ruled invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. The affected term will be narrowed only as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be directed through the Contact page.
